JIM MOORE, FOUNDER, LABOR CONSULTANT
Jim Moore is one
of New York's most prominent and influential labor leaders,
having served more than 30 years as president of the largest
region of the statewide union, Local 1000, AFSCME, AFL-CIO.
Throughout his
career, Mr. Moore has presided over hundreds of contract
negotiations, assisting bargaining teams with strategy,
training, membership mobilization, communications and
political activism. He's successfully negotiated several
statewide union contracts and proudly served two terms as
President of the AFL-CIO's Central New York Labor Council,
where he gained experience in private sector negotiations.
Mr. Moore is a
graduate of Harvard University's prestigious Trade Union
Program and was elected to serve on the Program's Board of
Alumni in 1998. He is the founder of Labor Education
